That should give everyone plenty of time to get their shit together & give us plenty of drinking time before heading over to Rock City.

The saga of extra charges etc. In my haste of booking a room at Welbeck, I had booked a single occupancy for a twin room and they charged me £77.00 (I didn't use laterooms etdc, but the Welbeck site themselves). Now because i've got young Shane sharing - I had to change the occupancy to two people, twin room - for that little fact - room rate has gone up to £99.00. But I did ask the hotel receptionist - since i had already paid partly for my room I wouldn't get the £100 damage deposit (feel like I'm a student again, going into shitty digs) slapped on me. They assured me no, because of pre-payment.
I'm still ready for a barney at reception when I check in.

But it's gonna be great meeting up with people again

Ah, so if you've used a pre-payment method for your room you won't get slapped with their ridiculous 'damage' charge ?
Thats interesting Dan. I pre-paid for our room as well but through laterooms so if the info you were given is true then we shouldn't have to cough up anything either.
I await a ferocious rant at the reception non the less. However, should you arrive before us I presume they'll just wave us through after one of your ear bashings.
