Hmmm...when did this become an iPhone vs Android phone battle?

No battle mate, just one winner Android .... quite a few people i know have seen the light and moved from apple to android.

How's Android the winner ? King James has explained the features and ONE changed power supply he also informs us that Samsung has used six times that many .!!!!!
You have said nothing to promote Samsung / Android just that their " better ".!!!

Like i said i have only had 2 Samsung phones Both have the same charger etc.. Galaxy s2 & s3

Doh, I was going to leave it there but I feel I just to put the record straight for people who might make the wrong choice based on the faulty information...
1. No they're not. Android comes in many favours and they're not all inter-compatible. One of Android's biggest failings is that you can't design an app to run on any Android device, it's called fragmentation (Google it). And you have to rely on network carriers to upgrade your device to the latest operating system, that is of course if your carrier decides you can have it. I've heard of at least a few people who bought an Android phone only to find out it had an old operating system on it that couldn't play the latest games etc with no hope of an upgrade. They were stuck with an expensive, obsolete device. WIth Apple, everybody has the same operating system and iPhones, iPads and iPod Touches can use the same apps (although as devices get older some features get dropped as the hardware can't cope as well). You just upgrade on the day it comes out direct from Apple via iTunes or over-the-air. That in effect means that your iPhone stays current and has the latest OS for much longer.

Also because the app store is carefully curated, there has yet to be any malware or viruses in the wild - unlike Android. (As if it wasn't bad enough that Google wasn't collating all your information with your consent, there have been many applications that send your home address/credit card details etc to some dodgy guy in Algeria to buy a new TV. If you're serious about your personal security, get an iPhone or BlackBerry).

2. How often do you need to Bluetooth somebody a file?! Can you not email it?

3. Not stuck with the same looking device as everybody else? That's funny, I thought it was iPhone that were called the sheep?! I don't give a flying f**k what anybody thinks when I pull my phone out my pocket. In fact, the industrial design might be brilliant but I'd rather not attract muggers thank you.

I just think it's weird that Android users have a big hard-on for their phone and feel the need to slag off iPhone users. Do you not realise you are being masterfully manipulated in the way you think Apple fans are? At the end of the day, neither of us should be defending massive multi-national companies, they are big enough to do that for themselves. If you want Android, good luck to you but remember without Apple to rip-off, Samsung wouldn't have anything near the phones they have now. Eric Schmidt used to sit on the Apple board and was really stealing Apple's ideas and morphed Android from what it was, to the iPhone rip off it is today. That's why for once I admire Microsoft for trying something new with Windows 8, for once they are actually trying to innovate.

Phew. I think that's enough now! Let's face it, there's no point getting any more worked up - we only use them to call people and to look at porn on the bus.

Galaxy S3 all the way

been an apple fan for years and still swear by the macbook BUT ive jumped to the S3 this time and its awesome.

It also has just won phone of the year and is certainly NOT cheaper than the iPhone.

Apple aren't interested in there customers it's all about profit for whoever is involved with apple.
Android services are mostly free unlike your iTunes service....

I'm afraid you've bought into the hype of Android and the crazy idea somehow that it's all open source and free. You've sold yourself and your privacy to Google. The difference between you and I is that I know I'm being marketed at and I've been sucked in and I don't give a toss because actually most of the time Apple stuff delivers on its promises.

I got a brand new BMW last month. Sure I could have gone for a Skoda and thought about all the money I would be saving for something that basically gets the same job done, i.e. get you from A to B. But god, I love driving my new car and life is short. Same thing to me.
