Crickey, twenty years tonight ..... awesome gig - two excellent bands.
Snuck into the front row seats - between Axl and Slash .....
Damn, do I feel old - yep - but hell I have the memories.
Thanks to Mickey Lloyds for the bus trip to the Apollo!

I remeber seeing GnR at Dinny 88 just before they were about to explode.
I only knew sweet child o mine, as the album bummed first time round if I rember.
The rest is history!
Mind you, i was disappointed with the recent show at NEC.

I was at Rock City for this, just the two bands and I thought then, and still do now, that Faster Pussycat kicked the living piss out of GnR.
I remember Taime Down making his entrance by lunging headfirst straight into the crowd, the band tearing into "Cathouse" and from then on it being a full tilt Glam Rock and Roll racket.
Guns, on the other hand, were sloppy and on the wrong side of laid back. Who knows - maybe they'd taken some drugs.
Hey, that's just the way I remember it! Tweny years ago, though...Jeez.
