Journey, Whitesnake, Thunder tour UK

Journey, Whitesnake and Thunder will play eight shows together in the UK in May next year.

It’s the first time Journey and Whitesnake have toured together, and another welcome return for special guests Thunder, who wound up their full-time career in 2009.

Neal Schon says: “Journey are looking forward to getting back to the UK and playing our best for you all. We’ll be rockin’!”

Whitesnake mainman David Coverdale has already promised an action-packed 2013 and suggests there’s much more to come from his outfit throughout the year – including a live DVD and a double album. He reports: “After a year in the studio we’re ready to rock on stage again – we’re coming back for more.”

Thunder vocalist Danny Bowes says: “We’d already discussed doing some shows next year so this is perfect. It’s a great bill, like they used to be back in the day. It’ll be a brilliant night out.”

Tickets go on sale on Friday morning, November 9 via Live Nation.

God awful line-up barring Thunder. Whitesnake were decent-ish enough back in the day, Journey are piss poor. Thunder are a fantastically entertaining band, and as such are the only redeeming quality on an otherwise poor, in-it-for-the-cash line-up.

Was well up for seeing this in Glasgow (Saturday night, 3 great bands....). Then I went to try and buy tickets and saw that its an all seated show. I let it go as I cant be bothered with being seated miles away from the stage. Its a pity as its a great bill.
