The government are laughing all the way to the bank MORE TAX...
Haven't the government also stopped the fuel subsidy for the elderly ? Which No doubt will Increase the Number of Elderly people who can't afford to have their heating resulting in a high number Dying due to the cold condition's.

I agree. What energy companies do is hide the underlying issue about cost of energy - which is that they are also the ones who are selling the energy on to themselves as providers.

All the guff about freezing energy prices won't solve this. the only way is to stop any company that is an energy provider from being a supplier as well - it will create absolute transparency.

Every year, just before winter, they do this. I'm fuc*ing sick of it and the bullshit excuses they come out with.

I got a pay rise of something like 1.2%, so already I'm down 7.5% (or something) before taking into account any other increases in any other outgoings I have.

Something needs to be done because before long I'll be working just to pay my bills.

How would that help?

Surely we should be protesting outside the head offices of the power & gas companies? Make them feel the wrath of the public!

Agreed , but Cameron is the best friend of rich people... Don't tell me you don't think he's mates with all of the bosses of these companies? All he's said so far is we should change companies... !!!! What does that mean?.. Just change being ripped off by one company to being ripped off by another!!

Agreed again (What a nice polite conversation)!
Maybe we should do what that farmer did to Nat West a few years ago & spray sillage all across the front of their head quarters!
