As long as you don't smell of cabbage, don't worry about itThe Hendon Kiss Army wrote:I feel even older today seeing as most of you seem to be under 40,
We are all within a few years of each other, give or take the odd one or two, showing we are all kids who grew up in the 70's.
All our parents go on about how great the 60's were, but I can't stand the music from then, it's all too much of the same thing. Then you had the dodgy haircuts and clothes
I loved the 70's, and still relate back to those days easily. I just feel sorry for the kids that had to grow up in the 80's & 90's. Just think of all the crap they had to grow up with
I'll only be 42 this July.
Have to agree with the comments about the 80's/90's, what a god damn awful time they were, well here in the UK anyway.
Awful Electro in the 80's and boom boom boom Dance/House in the 90's.
One thing tho', through out all of the above crap, Rock has stayed alive and kicking, it may slip down into the wilderness every now and then, but all of a sudden you'll get an upsurge in popularity, usually when a 'hot' new band emerge. Then you get people looking at other Rock acts and you get an upsurge in classic Rock interest, and 14 yr olds wearing, ACDC,KISS,ZEP, etc... t-shirts.
Deuce
Oh and did I forget to mention Thatcher and the Tories, who destroyed the Soul and Spirit of this country in 18 years. From the end of the 70's to the near end of the 90's.
