...kinda felt like they played too may songs that didn't come across well live...and (cant believe i'm saying this)...they were actually too loud.....to many of the subtleties and dynamics of their music just got lost in the mix....anyone have an opinion on these showsRush gigs

Rush gigs
Anyone go to the recent UK shows?? Am a big fan....was really up for these shows, but somehow came away slightly disappointed. ...kinda felt like they played too may songs that didn't come across well live...and (cant believe i'm saying this)...they were actually too loud.....to many of the subtleties and dynamics of their music just got lost in the mix....anyone have an opinion on these shows

Saw them at Birmingham..... loved EVERY minute! 
Would have liked a couple more classics and a couple less from the new album but that's just me being pedantic.
Volume wise they were fine for me as I had some great earplugs in!

Manchester last Sunday was equally fabulous. So great to hear songs like Entre Nous and Circumstances - plus Mission off 'Hold Your Fire' - an album I've always loved despite its apparent lack of popularity amongst Rush fans.
Peart is a monster player still...well, they ALL are really!! Do hope we see them again someday....

Sheffield and Manchester,,Both AMAZING!!
Sure they played a lot off the new album but its the best work in years so it doesnt matter,,And the lighting rig was Stunning too...
But Damn I wish I got that tour book collection,Im well pissed That i didnt..
