Re: Birmingham Show Reports Thread
Superb!! That was my 40th Kiss show!! and it didn't disappoint! Bumped into so many people I lost track!! Every single person was in such a great mood- isn't it great how this band brings out the best in people! (well Kiss fans anyway
)
Loved Paul's Dissing of Bono! "One guy says that each time I clap my hands a child dies! well stop clapping your f**king hands!" LOL
Also loved Paul's effort to correctly pronounce Bir-Min-GUM!!- Nice to see him make the extra effort-
The was a bigger buzz in the audience I felt - more people seem to be 'up for it' than Liverpool - the crowd could have been a bit louder and more excited I felt-
I was on gene's side and to be honest he's so friggin' timeless - he's 60 but still gives every show his all - hats off uncle Gene- Paul's energy level is also amazing - It's when you watch them do what they do best you forget all the bullshit and pettyness and realise what it's all about!!
nothing less than 10/10 from me!!
Let me hear you say Yeah!

feel free to feel offended, cyber-bullied, put out, outside of the clique, side-lined, marginalised or just generally have the piss taken out of. However it's a JOKE!-Nick's Mirth World!

Agreed! Infact I give it 11/10. Roll on Manchester. My brother in law will be blown away!
Oh and the Paul rant about 'This one guy who claps' was brilliant.

I loved it, my kids loved it and best of all, it looked like KISS loved it too!!
An emotional night for me taking my daughters and now they finally realise why Daddy is so obsessed with this band called KISS!
Got our pic took by the KISSonline photographer and got a couple of Union Jack picks for that which was cool.
I'm liking the LG Arena revamp! Miles better than before and have to say the nicest arena venue I've been to so far.
Good to see some of the guys 'n gals from here - and what about Beth? WOW!!
Roll on Manchester and Wembley - I can have a beer at Wembley!!
On the way home my youngest asked me how old I was when I first saw KISS - 11 years old I replied. Ha - beat you Dad, I'm only 10 and I've seen them!!
Damn!

Some people having really 'got' the Bazooka thing, I thought it was hillarious
A Bazooka at a concert? Only Kiss.
Amazing gig, been stated but Gene came in about a bar early on I'm an Animal, well recovered though! I thought Tommys solo was really cool, as a post-farewell tour fan I never got to see Space Ace in the band, but I've seen him do that solo through Youtube/boots etc, and I thought it was a really cool tribute! Tommys alot more confident on the stage, Eric was awesome. Paul was totally on form, loved it when he owned Bono (and probably Bob 'the knob' Geldof!) Gene - totally on form, I'm fairly sure I saw him rubbing himself at some girls on the front row - if I did that, I'd be thrown out
I didnt go too mad on merch, risked it and got a medium 'I Was There' tee and fits fine! I'll probably get another tee/some other bits at Manchester. Really tight, amazing show, hurry back, KISS! Don't make me come out to the US

One of the best shows I have seen.. They were awesome from start to finish, and and I was smiling so much by the end, I thought the top of my head was going to fall off. It's amazing what a crowd can do - same line up, same set as the only other show I have witnessed on this tour so far in Liverpool, and it was 10 times better.
It was great to meet so many people from this forum as well. Can't wait for next week - Manchester & both London shows

Amazing show, i was on the floor centre stage prob about 10 ft back.
The crowd went nuts for Crazy Nights, it surprised me how well it works.
Not 100% sure about MDD as the opener. Replace ILIL with God of Thunder and play 2 more songs in place of 100,000 years.
Loved the joint solo spot for Eric and Tommy.
Best of all ive now 100% converted my skeptical friend who went with me.

This was only my 3rd time seeing Kiss, first in 78 in LA and 2nd in 90 in San Diego...But it was definately the best...The crowd really made the show, they were so up for it and the band really appreciated it...I wont go into song by song detail but I will say it was a throughly enjoyable evening. It was also great to Meet Doc McGhee after the show...Well done Birmingham...This show will be hard to top.
It's starting to hit me umm...like a, two ton heavy thing...

Awesome show!!!!
Near the front on Genes side and close enough to see the big smile Paul had on his face all the way thru the gig, it was reallly great to see them all enjoying it so much and it certainly rubbed off on the crowd.
Sang myself horse along with everyone else.
Had agreat time, what more can be said.
Other than how lucky I feel to still have this great band I love still delivering like this after all these years.!
Long may it continue

Did anyone see Gene 'overshoot' his lighting rig platform??
He got hoisted forward a little too quickly and nearly tipped over the front - he grabbed the mic stand to stop himself!
It was pretty scary!
