What can i say? Without over reacting? Best night of my Life.
Started early, 4am rise with Flight leaving JLLiverpool Airport at 6.30, so i was a bit tired, but nevertheless its KISS and my god was i excited.
In Dublin it was evident KISS were playing and it was sensational some of the tshirts and music was immense.
Started to Queue at 1pm, which seemed like the worst decision ever, surrounded by the biggest wierdo's ever, who found hugging themselves and their mates as well as staring into each other but the sound of KISS various albums helped make me get through the 5 and a half hours wait on my own in the freezing cold.
As the Gene Simmons Axe Van pulls up, you could see the excitement grow and finally at 6.30 we get our reward for waiting first people in, and i got a primed position right in-front of the stage again, and slightly to the right of Gene this time. As it starts to fill up, some girl same age as me, comes up and goes to the barrier, and instantly we hit it off, she was like me big kiss fan and it made it fly past.
So as KISS Come on, she begins to Cry, instantly Paul and Gene click on and before long, she receives a Letter to meet after the show and eventually she goes backstage afterwards to meet the band.
The performance itself was amazing. Much better than Liverpool, the crowd were up for it and they responded in true KISS style.
Seeing as my flight didn't leave for another 7 hours i thought i might have a crack at meeting the band, i know, i know like 1 in 1,000,000 chance, but inspired by this forum and people at the Liverpool gig, i decided to give it a crack, and met some fantastic people, including a fantastic french man and three lovely ladies. My now, the picks from Gene are keeping me through this, aswell as The Fantastic Chris Babbitt from Taking Dawn, who is a true gent, great guy, and a couple of the KISS Crew aswell as the girls from before.
So as it closes into 11:30, open come the gates, and a black van comes down and as you do, the door was knocked a few hundred(million :p), times and down comes the window and there sitting in the front seat is none other than the man himself, Gene Simmons, who happily poses for pictures, and talks for 5 minutes a true hero of mine.
'Hey son, How old are you'...'18'.. 'Your here on your own?'..'Yes'...'Thats great dedication, What the KISS army is about', to which i'm nearly in tears, then i noticed the girl i mentioned earlier in the back seat.. Gene what a man, i got to meet my idol and i loved it so so so much

, Paul gave a 'we love you guys' - through his bouncer, whilst tommy and Eric both waved to us and seemed very happy about it.
