Re: Wembley Show Reports Thread (Thu 13th)
great gig,but glasgow was the best
Re: Wembley Show Reports Thread (Thu 13th)
We had the same problem on Wednesday with lowlifes throwing pints of piss everywhere, roll on next Year if the rumours a true??????????????I loved all the shows I went to - I think the Birmingham one did it for me, and that's the one I will buy on cd. Last night's one was fantastic (as usual) but was marred a little by the over abundance of complete knobs in the crowd.
I hope that it wasn't my last KISS experience last night - they are better than I have ever seen them before, and I pray that they will make one more visit to our shores.

Funny how several people have mentioned dicks in the crowd, I always think I'm the only one who gets stood next to them lol.
Seems like a London tradition these days!
I think if they do come back next year I'm gonna do the meet & greet, as that'd be the only way I could top this gig. Time to start saving lol.

Brilliant show Paul sounded awesome.
I managed to get back stage to meet them, will post a report shortly (too knackered now after 4 hours sleep), also got some nice photos thanks to Dean. I had a photo pass but later found out that you can't get backstage before the show and have a photo pass (greedy I know!). Security stopped me getting in with my slr, even though I was on the list for a pass. Dean sorted it all out for me though, huge thanks to him.
Great to meet up with a lot of members of the forum at the Ibis bar.

I was stood with those dicks to start with, and at one point I turned round and told them to fu*k off and stop acting like kids. One in particular was going to get a smack in the head. If you know me Im not into fighting, but when you have someone who is stopping me enjoying the best rock show ever seen!! oooooh it makes me mad.Funny how several people have mentioned dicks in the crowd, I always think I'm the only one who gets stood next to them lol.

Re: Wembley Show Reports Thread (Thu 13th)
Hi all,
first post (obviously
), I tend to check this site out most days, but never feel the need to post
anyway.....
Just got back from the wembley show, and wanted to share my comments about a great night,
it's been 30 yeaars since i first saw KISS, and it was a slightly surreal feeling, taking along my 8 year old daughter, she's been talking about this day since we got the tickets and needless to say was unbelievably excited, she'd previously been to only one show before and that was Jonas Bros (cue booing, but, honestly they weren't that bad.......cough, cough) nah for what it's worth they where pretty good with the young crowd
So, we booked into the Wembley plaza and she was shuffling all the songs on my phone and was getting more and more excited as the time to go to the arena drew closer, asking me questions about previous shows, will they have the tank, will the Demon spit blood ?, I'd purposely kept her away from the show details, as i wanted it to be fesh and exciting for her, like it was for me all those years ago.
When we got into the arena she loved all the people in make up and kept pointing them out, especially one dressed as Ace in the pit with the Destroyer costume on, very cool
once the lights dimmed and the famous hum and "YOU WANTED THE BEST....." came over the PA she literally threw her fist in the air and shrieked, it was fantastic, throughout the whole show she stood up, punched the air, screamed, shouted and sang the entire set, never once taking the smile off her face, it was better than her christmas morning reaction, I was literlly moved I couldn't believe that after all these years KISS where here playng in front of my lil girl, a truely magical night, I have a lovely, if poorly shot vid of the blood routine and once finished, you can hear an almight shriek to my left, i turn the camera round and there she is smiling and clapping....brilliant
as for me, I honestly don't think i've seen a better KISS show, probably made all the better due to her being there with me
anyway the reason for me posting is this
I don't know if it was one of you posters on here,( he'd previously seen 3 shows on the tour) but when we got back to our hotel, a guy gave her a plectrum he'd caught at the show, and she was gobsmacked when we got back to her room, she couldn't believe she had an actual plectrum they'd used and has now convinced herself he was probably playing Rock nRoll all nite when he threw it, so, even though I thanked you there and then i'd like to once again thank you for making her night even more memorable
Thank you

Had an awesome time last night. Met with a few Kiss buddies before and after the show and just thought the show itself was fantastic. Not quite up to Donnington for atmosphere etc. - but as a show it was spectacular.
KISS never cease to amaze me.

Re: Wembley Show Reports Thread (Thu 13th)
Do KISS have a crew member that looks like Jean Claude Van Damme? or was Van Damme at the show last night (13th)?
I heard that Brian May was going to be there as well.

Went to Wembley last night, excellent show, one of the best I have been to.for me.The best song was I Love It Loud, should have done Nobody's Perfect or Russian Roulette instead of I'm An Animal.
Is it always hard moving away from Wembley afterwards?

Phenomenal! I've run out of superlatives (but i'm sure Gene will sell me a six pack)- I feel vindicated as a fan. Wonderful atmosphere again, everyone was buzzing, so many great people. They have the energy of a band with everything to prove but after 35+ years they don't have to prove anything to anyone - A journalist had abviously wound Paul up as he made a comment about there being no extra 'hidden musicians' or 'tapes' under the stage..I'm amazed that a shitty review can still get under his skin..
- Tommy has been consistent and precise- Eric has been nothing short of superb! gene plays the role to which he was born.Overall - A MASTERLY EXPERIENCE...
