BBC Rock Games - revisited!

This friday see's the anniversary games take place at the Olympic Park to celebrate one year since Britain hosted such a memorable Olympics, but they weren't the only games that took place a year ago…let's revisit the exciting Rock Games!

Featuring the likes of the mighty KISS ruling the sports as 'Games Masters', Alice Cooper, Jessie J, Slash, Alexandra Burke, Sir Christopher Lee, Andrew Marr and Hulk Hogan.

Why, you ask? Well...

Jamie Stangroom didn't get a single ticket for London 2012. So he cried a little and then he sulked a lot, before finally manning up and deciding to create his own version of the Olympics...he called it the 'Rock Games'.

So Jamie set out to persuade some of the biggest names in music to compete in what Sir Christopher Lee described as "silly little games"; it seemed like the only sensible thing to do at the time.

Don't believe us? Well, as evidence new youtube channel Stinky Mike Comedy have put the best bits together for your perusal...
