Once again, we have to report the cancellation of our Dundee show this Friday (20th Aug) - due to completely unforseen circumstances. It's been a while since we were there and to say we were looking forward to
getting back there is an understatement; but we're trying to sort a new date out - we'll let you know when WE know!

THIS Saturday nite (21st August), we play 'Revolver' in Birkenhead - It's been about a year and a half since we played there the first time, and have been waiting to get back there since - we'll be taking as much
of our show as our vehicles will allow, so be ready to ROCK!!! There'll be a 70's theme to the nite too, so feel free to dress like Starsky and Hutch, or one of Charlie's Angels; or even come dressed as KISS!

Then, we have two show in SEPTEMBER:
Friday 10th - 'Gasworks', 14/18 Ivegate, Bradford
Saturday 11th - 'River Rooms' (was Rock Cafe 2000), Mill Race Lane,
Stourbridge - this show is probably an 'all ages' show as usual, but please give them a call to confirm.

Then two shows in OCTOBER:
Friday 1st: 'Yardbirds', Church Street, Grimsby
Saturday 2nd: 'The Diamond', Stoney Street, Sutton in Ashfield

Now, rock's most iconic band is unleashing another assault on North America with The Hottest Show on Earth. KISS will perform such classics as "Detroit Rock City" and "Rock and Roll All Nite" as well as hits that they haven't played in the US in many years.

The Hottest Show on Earth tour will trek through a mix of arenas and amphitheaters throughout the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

The band has partnered up with simfy live again to record the band's complete tour.

The Hottest Show On Earth live recordings are available for (pre-)order as 2-CD DigiPak or on the KISS USB flash drive.

In case you haven't already heard the the Officially Licensed KISS HDTV has launched, it includes an 8 second live shot of KISS everytime you turn it on! I've just had confirmation that the company will be shipping to the UK & Europe, however I imagine they are NTSC so not exactly sure how they will work yet. They will however have a modified power supply depending on where they are being shipped to.

Bloomsbury Lanes bowling alley are running a special KISS Sonic Boom night on August 13th. Rock & roll comic C.C. Banana, known for his outrageous interviews with rockers and other celebrities, becomes the latest addition to the upcoming tribute album "WHOLE LOTTA LOVE: An All-Star Salute To Fat Chicks." C.C. performs a faithful rendition of the underground Kiss track "Spit," a song from their 1992 album "Revenge." Originally sung by Gene Simmons (with an assist from Paul Stanley), "Spit" is an unapologetic rock & roll rant about the pleasures of pleasuring a large-sized lady. It is also the second Kiss song covered by C.C. Banana in his brief music career, the first being a parody of "Unholy," rewritten as a roast of Danger Danger frontman Ted Poley and appearing on the 2008 album "KISS MY ANKH: A Tribute To Vinnie Vincent." C.C. has amended the title of the track from "Spit" to "Split," in deference to his unique banana pedigree. A sample of the song is now available at the official "WHOLE LOTTA LOVE" MySpace page.

As C.C. Banana explains, "For the follow-up to my contribution to the Vinnie Vincent tribute, for which I recorded a Kiss song from the 'Revenge' album sung by Gene Simmons, I decided to record a Kiss song from the 'Revenge' album sung by Gene Simmons (albeit with a slight change of title, to better reflect my yellow magnificence). What can I say? Split happens!"

Today would have been Eric Carr's 60th birthday, lots of thoughts go out to Eric's family. We all miss you.

KISS will be on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno on Monday 19th July (US) which should air in the UK on Tuesday 20th on CNBC (Sky channel 505).

There's a 1 page interview with Paul Stanley in the latest issue of Mojo (with Bruce Springsteen on the cover). Haven't read it yet but accoring to their website it constains "Paul Stanley's terrifying Self Portrait!". Thanks to Tazman for the info.
